Hannibal
Tales of Hidden Love and Desire
Main title treatment for the motion picture Hannibal. For the studio yU+Co (Hollywood).
Through the forensic probing of a canvas hidden drawings come to light. Ultraviolet and X-ray scan reveal scenes previously omitted and make a hitherto unknown relationship prominent: a hunter has found his prey.
The title portrays of Agent Clarice Starling's search for Hannibal Lector's whereabouts. The Renaissance paintings by Sandro Botticelli set the tone of the film without giving the story away. The viewer is immersed in a forensic hunt through the Florentine painter's landscapes. Just as Hannibal has chosen Florence as his hideout.
